RDL Chief Exec appointed Apprenticeship Ambassador

Posted on March 14, 2011

Stuart Britton, Chief Executive of RDL, has been appointed to the Apprenticeship Ambassador Network, joining fellow senior executives within organisations who are committed to providing apprenticeships within their organisations.   RDL were one of the first recruitment businesses in the UK to launch a formal apprenticeship scheme in 2010.

Britton commented “At the end of 2009 we were struggling to recruit good recruitment consultants to our business.  We trialed the Apprenticeship program in January 2010 and we were really impressed by the quality, attitude, and performance of the individuals that we recruited as apprentices.  I have become an active advocate of Apprenticeships and the competitive advantage they bring to the recruitment industry.”

As an ambassador, Britton will increase his involvement in providing advice and guidance to other recruitment businesses looking to establish apprenticeship programs.   Britton has already provided input to an event hosted by the GLA and he has also been invited by the IT forum of the REC to sit on their panel to discuss youth employment.
